查塔姆's Testing and contact tracing guidelines follow the latest directions from the 中心 for Disease Control (CDC)Allegheny County 健康 Department (ACHD). See below for information on Testing, what to do if Testing positive, what to do if a close contact.
 

查塔姆, through Student 健康 服务, offers COVID-19 Testing for all students who are experiencing 症状 or who have been in contact with a positive COVID case.  In addition, there are many convenient local sites and at-home test options for COVID Testing. 的地图  local Testing locations is available on Allegheny County's website. 查塔姆's Testing protocol may be subject to change.

If you have cold or flu-like 症状 or have been in contact with a positive COVID case, below are the steps you should follow to schedule and receive Testing:  

  • Make an appointment with Student 健康 服务 by using the form below or calling 412-365-1714. Testing is available when the campus is open Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. 到中午.  Appointments must be scheduled in advance. 
  • When it’s time for your appointment, go to Student 健康 服务 at the back of Woodland Hall for check-in.  Please bring your student ID, health insurance card and wear a properly fitting mask.

Off-Campus Testing

If you are an employee or student who received a COVID-19 test off-campus or via an at-home test, please submit your test results to 查塔姆. All submissions will be kept strictly confidential and will only be shared with those who specifically have a role in addressing needs.

What to Do If You Test Positive

If you test positive for COVID-19, you should: 

  • 呆在家里.
    • 呆在家里 for at least five (5) days and isolate from others in your home. You are likely most infectious during these first five (5) days.
    • Do not go places where you are unable to wear a mask, including travel and public transportation settings.
    • 呆在家里 and separate from others as much as possible.
    • Use a separate bathroom, if possible.
    • Don’t share personal household items, like cups, towels, utensils.
    • 监控你的 症状. 如果你有 emergency warning sign (like trouble breathing), seek emergency medical care immediately.
  • 保持联系.
    • Be sure to contact those who you were in close contact with to let them know you tested positive for COVID-19.
  • 保持蒙面.
    • During your at-home isolation period, wear a KN95 or surgical mask when around others and have them wear masks too.
    • After five (5) days of isolation, you should continue to wear a well-fitting mask when you are around other people for another five (5) days.
  • Stay clean and healthy.
    • Be sure to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces regularly.
    • If able, open your windows to improve ventilation.
    • Rest and follow the directions of your medical provider.

What to Do If Exposed to COVID-19:

  • 保持蒙面.  
    • Wear a mask as soon as you find out you were exposed.  
    • Wear your mask for 10 days after exposure or until you receive a negative COVID test (after day 6). Day 1 is considered the day after your initial exposure.  
    • Per the latest CDC guidance, you do not have to isolate if exposed to COVID-19.  
  • 保持清醒.  
    • Watch for 症状.  
    • If you develop 症状 of COVID-19, get tested.  
    • Follow the What to Do If You Test Positive protocols above if your test is positive for COVID-19. 
    • If you do not develop systems by Day 6, the CDC encourages you to receive a COVID test, but it is not required.
